Need some volunteer hours? Are you flying solo or with a group? Want to spend that time working with your hands on the side of the beach? Well, of course you do! And, we have a perfect opportunity to do that here at Golden Gate National Park!
We are looking for individuals or groups that are available on Thursdays to work along NPS rangers to do various things such as work in a native flower bed at Crissy Field or fight the good fight against the ever-encroaching sands at Baker Beach and Ocean Beach. Join the fun and help preserve and protect your national park! Maintenance volunteers help protect and beautify the historic landscapes and cultural resources throughout National Park Service managed lands in San Francisco County (see full list below). Projects include trail maintenance, vegetation removal, native planting, beach clean-up, sand removal, and graffiti abatement.
When: Thursdays from 9am – noon.
Where: Crissy Field, West Bluff (1st Thursdays) – exact meeting location will vary and will be listed in the registration confirmation email. Registration is required.
Rotating sites:
Groups of five or more require special arrangements and must be confirmed in advance. Please review the List of Available Projects and fill out the Group Project Request Form.
