This 4 week Timber Framing Certificate provides hands-on experience in all aspects of building a timber framed structure.
Throughout this program students:
- will engage in a design intensive focused on a project of their own choosing,
- learn square rule layout
- various joinery techniques
- participate in a timber frame raising
- learn how to enclose a timber frame
- gain comfort with traditional timber framing hand tools and modern power tools
- learn basic carpentry skills to be applied to the structure enclosure
