This course surveys four centuries of American architecture. The work of architects and the evolution of architectural styles are examined as a reflection of broader historical trends. The 13 week Pipe Welding Program prepares a student for pipe certification following AWS and ASME Section IX welding codes. Instruction consists of coupon preparation, welding technique, and troubleshooting for pipe welding in the 2G, 5G, and 6G positions using E6010 or ER70S-2 (GTAW/Tig) in the root pass and E7018 in the fill and cover passes.

In the 13 week program, students receive instruction in all of the welding processes we offer at the school – GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SMAW. In addition, students are also trained in oxy fuel and plasma cutting, carbon arc gouging, and the use of basic hand tools (grinders, fit-up tooling, etc.). The goal of this course is to have students prepared enough so that they are "ready to go" on the first day of employment.
