Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Rebuilding Exchange:
Our Illinois Works funded Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a 9 week, FREE training to prepare adults for building trades apprenticeships, including unions.
The Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed to increase the number of qualified construction and building trades apprentices who are women, people of color, veterans, and prepares them to enter full apprenticeship programs on their way to careers in the construction and building trades.
Pre-Apprentices Receive:
- Basic Construction Safety, NCCER Core Credential, OSHA 10 Construction, and CPR/First Aid
- Stipends – Based on Performance, Attendance, Passing Training Modules
- Transportation Assistance, Work Clothes, Tools and PPE
- Supportive Services, including apprentice application support and job placement assistance.
- Job Readiness & Registered Apprenticeship Assistance
