Finishing Carpenter Job Opportunity

Worcester Eisenbrandt, a commercial historical restoration construction company, is seeking an experienced “Finishing Carpenter” for its Baltimore, MD mill shop.

General Job Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of finishing systems
• Color matching skill
• Experience with touch up and field repair of clear finishes and stains
• Match original finish appearance and create finishing system spec.

• Fit and install Commercial prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim and finish hardware, such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates.
• Restoration of wood cornices, doors, windows and other needed wood restoration.
• Installation of restored items.
• Produces carpentry products and services by following standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
• Ensures construction quality by verifying “trueness” of structure with plumb bob, carpenter’s level, and other measurements.
• Ensures operation of carpentry equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
