Join The Campaign for Historic Trades and Keweenaw National Historical Park for a day-long workshop that will cover the basics of Historic Preservation Fundamentals, Building Analysis, and why these topics are important for all trades people, contractors, and homeowners!
Participants will learn about why the Keweenaw Peninsula is unique, how this relates to historic preservation efforts, why historic preservation is important, and how to start a preservation project. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their own projects and/or homes with expert historic preservationist and workshop instructor Bruce Wright, and Campaign for Historic Trades staff. Participants will end the day with a guided walking tour of Calumet to apply the concepts they have learned throughout the workshop and practice their building analysis and documentation skills.
