The American Historic Trades Summit

The American Historic Trades Summit is hosted by The Campaign for Historic Trades, a national program of Preservation Maryland, with support from the National Preservation Partners Network, the national network of state and local preservation organizations. The Summit will help develop a network for historic trades training programs, creating a central source of knowledge and resources on how to start, maintain, and propel a training program.

Participants will have the opportunity to share knowledge, pool resources, ensure consistent standards, and learn how to advocate for program support. Attendees will engage in informational sessions and networking opportunities that explore the past, present, and future of historic trades training in America.

The convening will be of value to a wide audience, including: preservation organizations interested in creating, supporting, or fostering historic trades programs; organizations interested in supporting trades professionals in their communities; historic trades trainers and professionals; historic trades firms; government agencies focused on workforce development and trades training; state and national park preservationists, and more.

Refund Policy

Registration fees are eligible for refund if requested prior to May 29th, 2023. To request a refund, please email info@historictrades.org. The Campaign for Historic Trades staff will then process your refund to your original payment method through Eventbrite. Please note that taxes and fees are non-refundable.

Covid-19 Considerations

Masking will not be required for participants at The American Historic Trades Summit, but any who choose to mask are welcome to. Hand sanitizer will be provided during Summit sessions and activities. In an effort to keep all participants safe, we ask that if you test positive for Covid-19 within the 10 days prior to the Summit’s start date of June 12, please do not attend the event, and your registration fee will be refunded.

The American Historic Trades Summit is an in-person event. By choosing to attend this in-person event, each participant takes personal responsibility for their own health and associated ongoing risks with illnesses including flu, RSV, and Covid-19. All participants agree that Preservation Maryland, its staff members, and any other entities, organizations, and persons involved with this event cannot be held liable in the event of illness or transmission of Covid-19 or other illnesses.
