The Coalition to Protect Maryland Burial Sites is pleased to announce our 32nd Statewide Conference and Annual Meeting in historic Havre De Grace on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at The State Theater located at 325 St John St, Havre De Grace, Maryland 21078. The day will be educational, fun, and full of collegiality!

The day will include:

  • Presentations on local Havre de Grace and Harford County cemeteries
  • A continuation of last year’s case study presentation by Dr. Doug Owsley and Elizabeth Comer
  • Conservation tips from Robert Mosko of Mosko Cemetery Monument Services
  • Lunch (a variety of sandwiches and wraps, including vegan options)
  • The popular Open Forum for cemetery discussions
  • A tour of two local cemeteries!

The day will include a brief annual meeting, educational videos, presentation of Periwinkle Awards, the popular Open Forum, and Group Discussion, which aims to include participants from every Maryland county and will conclude with a tour of Mt. Erin and St. James Cemeteries. Join us to talk about cemetery activities, express concerns, share ideas, and ask for help.

Off-site parking is recommended two blocks north of The State Theater on St. John St. at the American Legion and six blocks west at Pennington Ave. and N. Adams St., across from the police station. You may also find available parking on most areas’ streets. Download the map for directions.
