The Preservation Trades Network is excited to welcome you to the 25th IPTW! This September, we invite you to attend this three-day event, hosted by the Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC) in Frederick, Maryland, at their new location – The Hargett Farm. Converging on the Farm will be experts in the traditional building trades. Hands-on demonstrations and workshops include the topics of carpentry and timber framing, stone and brick masonry, plaster, roofing and so much more. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with professionals throughout each day and learn from the masters.
Visit our IPTW 2023 page for details on lodging, pre-conference workshops, sessions, and more. And remember, PTN may have a few surprises up our sleeves, you’ll only know if you attend!
This year, the PTN Board has voted to waive registration fees for up to 25 students, apprentices, and emerging professionals in the preservation trades in return for assisting the conference and a demonstrator. Interested people need to apply. Approved applicants will notified by the PTN Board.
Interested in demonstrating at IPTW? Submit a form so we can gather your presentation information. Accepted demonstrators will receive notice from the PTN Board upon acceptance and a registration code.
We have opportunities for employers, vendors, and non-profits to support the IPTW and PTN’s mission. View the Sponsorship Packet and fill out the form to get registered. The PTN Board will review, send an invoice according to which tier is selected, and register the individuals for the event.
