Fall Cemetery Conservation Workshop: Oakland Cemetery

The fall 2023 Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) Cemetery Conservation Workshop will be held at Oakland Cemetery, E. Brinkley and Waldron streets, DeValls Bluff, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

This FREE workshop on the basics of cemetery conservation will address common concerns in preservation and maintenance of cemeteries. Hands-on training and instruction will be led by Jonathan Appell of Atlas Preservation. Registration is required.

Attendees are encouraged to participate in cleaning, making basic repairs, and the leveling and straightening of gravestones.
