Women’s Blacksmithing follows the same skill building principles as Blacksmithing I but is designated for women students only. This introductory two-day class moves students through the fundamentals of blacksmithing: basic manual skills, heat treating, forge welding, and identification of “found” steels. Safety, tools, techniques, materials, terminology, and shop set-up will all be explored. With an anvil for each student, there is plenty of hands-on learning in a no pressure environment.
