Description

The Semilla Scholar Fellowship Program has been a part of LHC’s mission, dedicated to supporting future generations of Latinx preservationists, historians, planners, and educators. Since our initiation, graduate students have contributed to The Abuelas Project and The Latinx Preservation Toolkit and have continued to be involved in other initiatives throughout the years. Semilla Scholars can expect a comprehensive, paid experience designed to deepen their expertise in heritage conservation while fostering professional growth and community impact.

Eligibility

Graduate students (Master’s and PhD) who demonstrate a dedication to advocating for Latinx heritage, have a strong commitment to community engagement, and bring innovative perspectives to the field.

Duration

Fellowships typically span five months, offered in conjunction with the Fall and Spring semester. All fellowships are mostly remote and range between 10-20 hours a week.
