The countdown has begun and we are another month closer to our annual meeting, October 7-9, 2022! And do not forget to consider our early bird special, “Shop Stop and Visit” on the 6th. Shops in our area are offering a tour of their workspace (to be announced in the coming months). If you cannot make the early bird special, no worries Bagala Window Works has TWO SHOPS to share at this conference! More about this later…
And if you need any other convincing information about a beautiful place to visit (it’s a conference/vacation, right?) I suggest you take a look (often) at a couple of our city and preservation Instagram accounts here: @portlandlandmarks, @mainepreservation, and @visitportland
Here’s a thought…
We all work with, or hear of historic preservation consultants and architects, on many of our projects and I know from my experiences that some (many?) of these folks have little to no idea about what and how we do our business and how serious we are about our passion for restoration and the sustainability of our planet (well… I am anyway :-)). This conference is our opportunity for a “show and tell” with the people who often guide the general contractors and homeowners toward our direction. There will be plenty of consultants, architects, and preservation professionals invited to this conference by me, how about you?– Can you share our conference with someone of this profession in your area of the country that could benefit from our show and tell conference? BWW will make the invitation for you to share in order to get this much needed conversation going between restorers and consultants.
And a reminder…
Your suggestions/thoughts regarding workshops for our 2022 conference will be seriously considered, but I need to hear them before the schedule is filled out.
